Time, Our Most Valuable Resource

There is a non-renewable resource we all have the same amount of. It’s time. In our busy, over-committed world, we tend to be stingy when it comes to giving away time or making time for what matters most. But tie is truly our most valuable resource - and we all have the same amount every single day.
I, personally, have many moments in a day when I tell myself ‘I should do that' … 'I should run that errand. I should plan that thing.' And the list almost never stops. But TIME. When do we do all the things? How do we carve out space for ourselves?
“The things which matter most should never be at the mercy of those which matter least.” (From German writer, Von Goethe) As I’ve pondered this idea, the word INTENTIONAL continues to bubble up. Being intentional with our time, this non-renewable resource, means we prioritize the things which matter most.
A challenge for you today – name the top 5 things that matter most to you. Then take a look at where you spend your time. Really, get out your phone and look at your calendar. Write down where most of your time goes. Does most of your time go to those top 5 things? If not, where can we rearrange our schedule, cut things out, and prioritize the things that matter most? How can you be intentional with your time today?
I’m cheering for you! The small step of simply taking a look at these things and being INTENTIONAL today could change your week, your month, your year – all for the better! Let’s allow the things (and people) which matter most to truly be the things we prioritize!
